Skills Summary

Over 15 years experience in all levels of software development
including traditional application development (both PC and Mac),
server-side web application development (Linux/J2EE/.NET), 
embedded systems design, and product development including
engineering support for a sales team. 

Solid, mature engineering background with an in-depth
understanding of the interaction between many types of
hardware and software system components.  OpenSource advocate, but
also experienced in effective debugging strategies for working with
"closed-source", proprietary SDKs.

Languages: Java (JDK/Swing/Servlets/J2EE), JSP, Spring Framework
   MVC and Design Patterns; Tomcat/Resin web-application scalability,
   session persistence and replication issues; 
   ANSI C and C++; C#, Microsoft ASP and ".NET" framework;
   Pascal, FORTRAN, Visual Basic, TCL, Perl (CGI), shell-scripting, 
   HTML/XHTML, XML, AJAX/JavaScript, CSS style-sheets; WML/WAP (for wireless);

   Motorola/Zilog/Intel/DEC assembly languages, and RISC devices.
